Hi Frank,

Generally speaking it's best to stick with one or the other (no pun intended). Take several readings with both meters and see if you get wider variations with the same meter. I like the Confirm because it seems to give a narrower range of results.

Thanks for your question. Keep at it, you'll do fine.

Question - I picked up a Confirm tonight. I tested post dinner 1-hour - Confirm was 144 (I am only 2 weeks into this). I checked with my TrueResult meter and it was 160 - should I be concerned about the difference or just go with the Confirm from now on out?

Hey tali,

Great to hear from another fan of the ReliOn Confirm. And now the cable is priced right (like the strips!), with no subscription to their website needed.

Okay, I followed up on Arkray's comment. He is right. The customer service rep just told me that as of March 3rd there is no longer any charge for using the MyCare website. The only charge is $29.95 for the cable.

Terrific! I will amend my original article.

Hi, all.

I'm an employee at ARKRAY, the company that makes the ReliOn Confirm for Walmart. First of all, let me say thanks for this positive review! It's great to hear about the things you like about your new ReliOn Confirm meter system.

To clarify your question about the downloadability of the system, I wanted to let you know that all of our meters are downloadable to the MyCareTeam website where patients can upload their meter data, easily track medications, activity and diet and stay connected with their health care team and other care givers. The only cost users pay is the one-time cost of the USB cable that connects your ReliOn Confirm meter to your PC and allows you to upload your data. The cable carries a one-time cost of $29.95.

If you have any quesitons, please call our customer support line at 1-800-631-0076.
